VPP Studio: Clean and Safe
Hello Friends! What a season it has been! After several months off due to the restrictions put in place during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC I am so thrilled to be opening back up for business! I am also thrilled to announce I am opening the doors of my new, beautiful studio! The new dedicated studio space for newborns, babies, and children will allow me to expand my business, offer more flexibility in scheduling, and be an easier to clean space to keep your precious little ones safe at all times. Lets take a moment to discuss that last item there, because now, more than ever, we are all stepping up our game to keep our families safe and healthy. Hygiene and safety procedures have always been a top priority for my studio. I will be keeping all original measures in place, but a few new things have been implemented for the studio to create the safest space possible. Let's go over all procedures, old and new, so you know what to expect at your portrait sessions.
VPP Studio will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between each session. All parts of the studio, bathroom, props, and especially "high traffic" areas are cleaned using effective, but 'baby safe' cleaning products so you can enter the studio confident the space is clean and safe and ready for you!
Hands will be washed before entering the studio, and during the session as necessary. Clients will be asked to wash hands when they arrive before entering the studio. Hand sanitizer may also be used during the session and will be available in the studio for client use as well. Photographer will wear a mask at all times when handling infants. Clients are encouraged to bring their own mask to wear in the studio when not being photographed. All blankets, outfits, and fabrics are washed and sanitized after every session. I use scent-free hypoallergenic detergent for any items baby will come into contact with, as well as photographer's own clothing worn during the session. All other furniture, props, and headbands will be steam sanitized after every use. Delicate or difficult to clean items will not be ignored! At least 24 hours between each studio session means there will be ample time to thoroughly clean after every session. It also lessens the amount of client contact with other people entering and exiting the studio. Shoes should be removed before entering the studio. In an effort to keep the space as clean as possible, we'll just leave these dirtier items in a crate outside the studio door. If you desire footwear in photos, I ask that you clean those before your session and arrive with them in a bag for using during your photos only. Immediate family only in the studio. Only parents/guardian and children being photographed will be allowed in the studio for the duration of the session. (Grandparents, Nannies, Friends, Older siblings etc. may not be in the studio at this time.) Siblings will only be allowed in the studio during their portion of the photoshoot, in an effort to limit exposure. Please make arrangements for siblings to be taken home as soon as their portion is complete.
In addition to the things listed above, I ask that you carefully consider and limit the items you bring with you to the photoshoot. Please discuss with me ahead of time if you plan to bring any props or outfits with you. Also understand that space is limited in the studio, I may ask you to keep larger items in your vehicle, or set them outside the door of the studio. To maintain cleanliness standards, I do not currently have magazines, toys, etc. out for clients to use, please bring your own 'entertainment' for longer sessions. I do not currently allow pets of any kind in my studio. And lastly, I ask that you refrain from wearing perfume/cologne or strongly fragranced body products when you are coming to the studio. These can be lingering allergens that are difficult to clear from the air.
I am requesting that all clients take their own temperature before arriving. If you or anyone in your home has been sick, or knowingly exposed to someone sick within the past 48 hours, please do not come and reschedule your session. There will be no rescheduling fee due to illness of you or any of your contacts.
Whew! That was a lot of words, but what it all boils down to is some common sense, some extra precautions, and some peace of mind for your family that you have a safe environment for the best experience! Your little ones are precious to me, and I do not take the job lightly when you hand them over to me, to capture this priceless moment. I am thrilled to be open for business again, and I can't wait to invite you into my brand new studio! Stay well, Friends! <3
